1. WTF??? Where were my aliens?

2. Okay, seriously, did Chris Carter just dive into a bin of rejected episode ideas and decide to make it?

3. Aliens? I want aliens!

4. With such a rich history to draw on, why did they pick this storyline, then not even explain why the freaking villains were where they were, and how they got from Russia to the U.S.?

5. If you're going to bother to bring in evil Russian doctors, why in the hell can't you bring back Krycek?

6. NEEDS MORE ALIENS. NEEDS ANY ALIENS.

7. Sucked. Big time.

I'm sorry you didn't like it, but you seem in good company.

It's so interesting...the trailers were enough to dissuade me from going to this movie, but I've been reading all the spoilers, just in case something changes my mind and...nope, nothing has. I mean, there are plenty of folks on my f'list who liked it, but most of them have said "I love X-Files so much that I'm going to put up with anything that has Mulder and Scully!"

And honestly? I kind of get that sort of fannish attitude - it's just not one I share, at least not about XF.

Skinner's brief appearance was the only saving grace in the film to me. ;) There was a bit of a Skinner/Mulder moment, which I'm sure will thrill a certain segment of the fandom. ;)

I saw the trailers, and I still had hope that there would be something. Like many people, I was fooled into thinking that a certain thing in the spoilers was the Black Oil alien, and it wasn't. I'm now wondering if they did that on purpose, because in the trailer the color looks black and in the movie it's obviously a much different color.

I wish I hadn't seen it. Even the M/S moments weren't enough to save it. Sigh. I understand that fannish attitude as well, but I don't share it, either - witness the fact I've not read anything but the redux of the last HP book and I've no intention of going to see any more of the HP movies - didn't even go see OoTP.

I'm tired of franchises that take perfectly good characters and throw them away on stupid, pointless storylines. :(

I *did* read the last book, but ranted and cried through so much of it that my cat and dog were trying to figure out how to call 911 for me. And I haven't been able to re-read it, even though I've tried. I can re-read pieces of it when I'm fact checking, but I can't read it as a book. Very odd.

Why in the hell they chose to make THIS when there was a whole universe of stuff to pick from I have NO idea. Sigh. Idiots.
