Back from the Great White North
Oct. 16th, 2008 04:54 pmJust got back from five days in the beautiful environs of Ottawa, Ontario and Gatineau, Quebec. My last foray into Canada was several years back and considerably further north and west, when we went to Edmonton and then drove the length of the Canadian Rockies down to Calgary, which was one of the most incredibly beautiful drives in the world. Ottawa and Gatineau are lovely, too, especially at this time of year when the leaves were changing.

A beautiful hotel, but not ours, alas!

Rideau Canal, with changing leaves

The Spider - don't ask me!

Pretty leaves on the way in to Gatineau Park

Hubby and son at "The Ruins" at Moorside in Gatineau Park

Moorside gardens and the King cottage

Leaves on the Waterfall Trail, Gatineau Park

Lovely trees on the Waterfall Trail

The waterfall!
