So tomorrow Uh, the day after tomorrow... is scribbulus_ink's birthday, and even though it won't make it to her until afterward for a few assorted reasons, I finished making her birthday gift. :D This is definitely the most complicated thing I've ever knitted, but I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Happy Birthday, McKay! Thank you so much for more than five years of fantastic friendship, writing, and general hilarity! :D I hope that the coming year brings you all the joy and fulfillment you deserve!








This is on my dressmaker's dummy, which is a bit larger than wee McKay. :D The yarn is Knitpicks Shine (cotton/beech) in the color Green Apple.

Holy crap, you knitted that??!?!? Wow. It's gorgeous and looks, well, expensive. McKay will love it (or, does, probably, since this was awhile ago).

I'm afraid to try lace. I'm still trying to get a gauge that will match a sock pattern....
